Standard Foods closes restaurant temporarily
A sign on the restaurant's door said the closure was to welcome a new chef. The grocery and butcher shop remains open.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Standard Foods has temporarily closed its restaurant while welcoming a new chef, according to a sign on the door Wednesday.
"We are excited for what's next and hope to see you in the very near feature," the note explained.
The grocery and butcher shop will remain open.
Chef Scott Crawford, a four-time James Beard Foundation semi-finalist, announced in March that he would be leaving Standard Foods restaurant and grocery store after less than year in business. He announced plans last week to open a restaurant on Person Street.
