ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO — St. Louis County leaders have approved pay raises for police officers.
Council members approved the pay raise Tuesday and the increases will begin on January 1. The increases will be a raise of 30 percent. The vote passed 6-0.
The money for the raises came from Proposition P, which was approved by voters in April.
Officials say officers will now receive more sophisticated gear and be better equipped.
