Spring Lake firefighter killed in traffic accident

Sally Shutt with the Town of Spring Lake said Corbin Rogers of the Spring Lake Fire Department was killed in a motor vehicle accident in Moore County. Rogers had been with the department for five months and was attending a ladder training class in Spring Lake. While traveling home from the training on Hwy. 690, he was involved in a motor vehicle accident around 5 p.m. and died from his injuries.

“Our hearts go out to Corbin’s family and we ask that you keep them and his fellow Spring Lake firefighters in your thoughts and prayers,” said Spring Lake fire chief Jason Williams.
