The NC State men's soccer team is headed to their first NCAA College Cup since 1990.

And it'll be in its own backyard.

The No. 15 seed Wolfpack defeated No. 7 seed Georgetown 3-2 on Sunday in Washington, D.C. 

The College Cup is soccer's equivalent to the Final Four. NC State is the highest ranked team left in the tournament and will take on Saint Louis on Friday at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary.

It is just the second appearance in the College Cup in program history.

Senior Taig Healy scored the game's first goal against Georgetown in the sixth minute. Two minutes later, senior Drew Lovelace scored on a penalty kick after a Georgetown handball in its own box. 

After a Georgetown goal, Carlos Santamaria scored on another penalty kick to make it 3-1. Georgetown cut it to 3-2, but couldn't score the equalizer.
