The latest twist in the story of North Carolina football coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson: an engagement?
The New York Times reported Tuesday that the 24-year-old Hudson has told at least one person that she and Belichick, 73, are engaged to be married. The story doesn’t give any further details about the potential engagement.

The report indicates Hudson's demand to be granted “content approval and partial ownership” of NFL Films’ Hard Knocks played a key role in the show not coming to Chapel Hill. Hudson, according to the report, was also negotiating with another production company about a similar series.
Belichick has been on an interview blitz in recent weeks — without Hudson.
He is promoting his book, “The Art of Winning.” It was during a previous promotional interview for the book on CBS that Hudson interrupted, earning headlines.
“She’s been terrific, through the whole process. And she’s been very helpful to me,” Belichick said on “Good Morning America.”
“She does the business things that don’t relate to North Carolina that come up in my life, so I can concentrate on football. And that’s really what I want to do. I acknowledged her in the book. She was very helpful on that with the tribute pages, and also given a perspective of the book from kind of a business side. Sometimes I get a little football technical and so she did a good job of keeping me on balance there.”
