Thanks to you good folks for suggesting the Anchor Bar for the best Buffalo Wings around. Thursday night I went there knowing I would get some good wings and be able to watch the Western Conference finals. I had a great night soaking in both! The Anchor Bar is an old establishment straight down main street. As soon as I walked in the smell of wings met me at the door. Plastered on the walls were many license plates from all over the USA. But at the Anchor Bar, the wings are the things. Oh Daddy were they good. I wimped out and got the medium but Clark, they were gooooooooodddddddd...
Can't wait to see Game 4 tomorrow night. The Sabres defensemen are dropping like flies...so much they are thinking of using Jason Pominville on the occassional defensive shift. The Canes have to take advantage of this by coming out and taking control in the 1st period. By the 3rd, the Sabres defense could be worn down.
I'm not the only one disappointed that the NHL Final 4 isn't on national, free TV in prime time. OLN and Hockey Night in Canada are available on cable but not in my hotel room. Hockey has to find a way to get their premier events on "free" TV broadcast across the nation.
Enjoy Game 4 no matter which team you pull for. As for those Buffalo fans who "greeted" me at the hotel today...I am NOT a vacuum cleaner. (You figure it out.)
