The winter football transfer window opened December 9.
Duke (9-3), NC State (6-6) and North Carolina (6-6) are all bowl eligible but players are announcing their intention to transfer before the bowl destinations are known.

Maalik Murphy, QB (out to Oregon State): Murphy, a transfer from Texas, spent one season at Duke, helping lead the Blue Devils to a 9-3 regular season and an appearance in the Gator Bowl under first-year coach Manny Diaz.
But he is hitting the transfer portal, ESPN's Pete Thamel reported. Thamel reported that Murphy will not play in the bowl game against Ole Miss.
Murphy threw for 2,933 yards and 26 touchdowns (12 interceptions) in his lone season in Durham. Murphy started all 12 games and threw three touchdowns in six different games.
Thamel reported on Dec. 19 that Murphy has committed to Oregon State.
Carter Wyatt, LB (out): Wyatt spent three seasons in Durham. He saw action in three games in 2024 and made two total tackles.
Grayson Loftis, QB (out): Loftis played in 10 games for Duke over two seasons, including five starts in 2023.
Darian Mensah, QB (in from Tulane): Mensah was Tulane's starting quarterback in 2024, throwing for more than 2,700 yards and 22 touchdowns as a freshman for the Green Wave. He attended Duke's men's basketball game against Incarnate Word on Dec. 10 and was committed soon after.
NC State
KC Concepcion, WR (out): The 2023 ACC Rookie of the Year had 53 catches for 460 yards and six touchdowns this season, a step down from his numbers as a freshman. Concepcion had 71 catches for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns, along with 320 rushing yards, in 2023. But the Wolfpack added depth and talent at wide receiver, tight end and running back in the offseason. Concepcion's return to NC State after the 2023 season was announced by the school's NIL collective. Concepcion's brother recently decommitted from NC State.
Jayland Parker, LB (out): Parker, who is scheduled to graduate in December, played 35 games across four seasons at NC State. He had a career-high 10 tackles for the Wolfpack in 2024.
Davin Jackson, DT(out): Jackson, a sophomore, had nine tackles in 2024. He missed the 2022 season with a knee injury suffered in high school and missed the 2023 season with an Achilles injury.
Wyatt Wright, LB(out): Wright transferred to NC State from Mississippi Gulf Coast College for the 2024 season. He played in one game.
Sean Hill, OL(out): Hill spent five seasons at NC State, including the 2020 season. He played in three games in 2024. Hill posted on social media that he has several offers, including one from Marshall, where former NC State defensive coordinator Tony Gibson is now the head coach.
Juice Vereen, TE (out): Vereen spent two seasons at NC State. He had four catches for 65 yards against Notre Dame in 2023. But did not have another catch in his career. Vereen posted on social media that he has an offer from Marshall.
Obadiah Obasuyi, OL(out): Obsuyi spent two seasons at NC State. On3 reported that he is in the portal.
Jalen Coit, WR (out): Coit played in 33 games over five seasons for the Wolfpack. He made his biggest impact as a punt returner. He had 22 punts returns for 215 yards in his career. He also have five catches.
Teague Andersen, OL (in): Andersen (6-foot-5, 305) played two seasons at Utah State after redshirting in 2022. Andersen started 11 games at right tackle for Utah State in 2024. His dad played three seasons in the NFL.
North Carolina
Conner Harrell, QB: Harrell started the 2024 season as UNC's No. 2 quarterback, but started against Charlotte after Max Johnson was injured in the season opener. Jacolby Criswell took over as the starter after that.
He played in six games in 2024 but threw just 37 passes, completing 21 for 282 yards and two touchdowns. Harrell played in five games in 2023 behind starter Drake Maye.
Caleb Hood, RB: Hood played in 25 games over four seasons with the Tar Heels as he battled injuries throughout his career. Hood carried 87 times for 393 yards and two touchdowns in his career and added 157 receiving yards. In 2022, he had 369 total yards in seven games. But he was limited to 11 games over the next two seasons as Omarion Hampton emerged as the team's top running back and one of the best in the nation.
Zach Greenberg, OL: Greenberg transferred to UNC from Division III Muhlenberg College. He started against NC Central and played in games against Charlotte and Duke.
Eli Sutton, OL: Sutton played four games across four seasons with the Tar Heels, including three this year. He was ranked as a four-star recruit out of high school.
Amare Campbell, LB(staying): After initially enterting the portal, Campbell will withdraw his name and remain at UNC. Campbell was the team's defensive MVP in 2024 after recording 72 tackles, including 6.5 sacks. Campbell played in 23 games across two seasons in Chapel Hill. 247Sports reported his return.
Austin Blaske, OL (staying): Blaske, a transfer from Georgia, was the team's starting center. He played in 11 games this season. He spent three seasons at Georgia. InsideCarolina reported Blaske is going into the portal. But on Dec. 11, Blaske posted on social media that he was withdrawing from the portal.
Andrew Rosinski, OL: Rosinski, a four-star prospect, spent one season at North Carolina. He did not play in a game this year.
Jordan Louie, RB: Louie, a four-star prospect, played in one game in his two seasons in Chapel Hill. He rushed one time for zero yards against Campbell in 2023. On3 reported that he entered the transfer portal.
Travis Shaw, DL: Shaw, from Greensboro, was a top-50 recruit in the 2022 class and made 22 tackles in 2024. Shaw recovered two fumbles this season.
Jahvaree Ritzie, DL: Ritzie, from Kernersville, was a top-10 player in the state of North Carolina in the 2021 class. In his final year with the Tar Heels, Ritzie had the best of his career, finishing with 40 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. Ritzie declared his intention to forgo the Fenway Bowl and declare for the 2025 NFL Draft on X.
Christo Kelly, OL (incoming from Holy Cross): A 6-foot-4, 305-pound offensive lineman from Holy Cross, Kelly played 36 games in five seasons (2020 to 2024). He did not play in 2020 (COVID season) and played in four games in 2021 (redshirt). Over the last three seasons, Kelly has played in 32 games including 12 starts at center in 2024.
Melkart Abou Jaoude, DL (incoming from Delaware): Abou-Jaoude had 48 tackles, including 8.5 sacks, in the last two seasons at Delaware. The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder was an honorable mention All-CAA selection.
Adam Samaha, K (incoming from Michigan): Samaha spent two seasons at Michigan, kicking in one game during the 2023 season.
CJ Mims, DL (incoming from ECU): Mims, from Vanceboro, had 37 tackles in the last two seasons at East Carolina. Mims played in one game in 2022. He had planned to go to Wake Fotest, but opened up his recruitment again after coach Dave Clawson's resignation.
