DURHAM, N.C. — Tarantulas, dresses made of only zip-ties and "Hamilton" were all topics during Out and About's one-hour segment during Earfluence's podcast marathon on Wednesday.
Earfluence, one of the Triangle’s fastest-growing podcast production companies, kicked off the launch of its second studio with a more than seven-hour marathon of local podcasts. The new studio is located in Durham-based startup hub American Underground, a division of Capitol Broadcasting Company (WRAL's parent company).

So for the first time in more than two years, I left my house to record a podcast! I've been doing everything via Zoom since March 2020, so it was a joy to go live on YouTube chatting with Durham Performing Arts Center's Community Engagement Manager Megan Rindoks.

The podcast episode hasn't been released yet (more on that below), but you can watch our interview below on YouTube starting at the 5:05 mark (yes we were the 5th hour!).
I had a great time talking with Megan and meeting the founder of Earfluence, Jason Gillikin. You can read more about Earfluence in this great article from WRALtechwire.

And stay tuned because we have some big things coming up for the Out and About podcast, including some fun new hosts who are joining the mix! Look for more info next month.
