Raleigh, N.C. — The SPCA of Wake County is looking for a few good homes to help pets declare independence from the shelter.
On Sunday and Monday, adoption fees for all animals will be dropped to $17.76. The fees normally run $70 to $115 and include the cost of spaying or neutring, a microchip and vaccines.
The SPCA says it's trying to increase the number of adoptions, because more new kittens and puppies crowd into the shelter during the spring and summer.
The shelter on Petfinder Lane in Raleigh will be open 1-5 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m-8 p.m. Monday.
