Southern Pines police searching for men who robbed restaurants

According to police, the first robbery occurred Aug. 17 at about 9:30 p.m. at a Subway Restaurant at 10205 Highway 15/501. The two men entered through an unlocked back door and were armed with knives.

The second robbery happened on Aug. 21 at about 2:15 a.m. at the Hickory Tavern at 9735 Highway 15/501. This time, the men were armed with guns and approached the manager as he left the restaurant.
