Southern Pines man found slain

Southern Pines, N.C. — Police responding to a reported shooting in Southern Pines early Thursday found a man who had been killed.
Officers found the body of Rasaan Voncarlos Hunter, 29, of Southern Pines, in the 300 block of Shaw Avenue at about 3:45 a.m., police said.
The case remains under investigation, and no other details were released.
