Southern Pines man faces child porn charges

Bruce Edwin Kendall, 59, of 1121 Sandmoore Drive, faces 20 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Southern Pines police said that an investigation with Pinehurst police and the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force determined that child porn had been downloaded onto a computer at Kendall's address. Investigators seized computers, DVDs and other electronic media from the home.
Kendall was being held in the Moore County jail under a $100,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Nov. 3.
