Editor's Note: Stay tuned for Songs of the Season all week, featuring some really talented local kids and teens performing some holiday tunes on stage at Imurj, a collaborative art and music space in downtown Raleigh.
If you've been to a Theatre Raleigh or N.C. Theatre production in recent years, you might have seen Riley Campbell on stage.

The talented Raleigh teen was last seen as Moth in Theatre Raleigh's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," a show that is part of the local theater group's growing family series. She's also appeared in "The Wolf," another Theatre Raleigh family show, and "Carousel."

She'll be on stage again this spring as part of Theatre Raleigh's 2018 family series, which includes "A Midsummer Night's Dream," which puts a kid friendly and contemporary spin on the Shakespeare classic, in March, and "Adventure Road: A Story of Huck & Tom," a musical adventure that tells the stories of Mark Twain's beloved characters, in April.

And it's likely she'll pop up elsewhere on stage. For the N.C. Theatre, her favorite credits include Jane in "Mary Poppins," young Cosette in "Les Miserables" and as part of the ensemble in "The Little Mermaid." She also played the role of Jack in the Justice Theatre Project's "Into the Woods."

Her success is more than earned (just listen to her sing), but she has a little help backstage. Riley's mom is Lauren Kennedy Brady, Theatre Raleigh's producing artistic director and an actress and singer, who has performed a number of times on Broadway.

Watch the video to hear Riley sing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."
