Some Wake schools dismissing 3 hours early Friday because of funeral procession
Some Wake County Public School System schools will release three hours early tomorrow as traffic in and around several schools is expected to be heavy for Knightdale police officer Ryan Hayworth's funeral procession.

Traffic in and around several schools is expected to be heavy for Knightdale police officer Ryan Hayworth's funeral procession.
Several roads will be closed in eastern Wake County. To avoid carpool delays and late bus runs, more than a dozen schools will let out early.
Schools dismissing early include:
- Carver Elementary
- East Wake High
- Forestville Elementary
- Knightdale Elementary
- Knightdale High
- Lake Myra Elementary
- Lockhart Elementary
- Neuse River Middle
- Wakelon Elementary
- Wendell Elementary
- Wendell Middle
- Zebulon Middle
- Zebulon Elementary
Hayworth died last weekend when his police vehicle was hit by a suspected drunk driver on I-540.
