Some spots see snowflakes; warmer temps on the way

The potential for rain showers could add 2 to 4 inches more to our rainfall totals.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Saturday brought some rain to areas of central North Carolina. Some spots even saw a few snowflakes.

The precipitation we had wasn't much and didn't last long. Since, the winds have calmed considerably and, after another cold night, things will begin to warm up some heading into next week.

The mountains of NC had some snow Friday.

The showers were moving out by Saturday evening and would be gone, for now, come Sunday. It could be a foggy start to Sunday in some areas but it will stay mainly dry.

Temperatures will climb into the 50s for Sunday. Monday, the warmth returns, with temperatures in the 60s through out next week.

The Triangle's best chance of rain comes Tuesday, with a 60% chance of seeing showers.
