Soldier from Greensboro dies from injuries suffered in Afghanistan
A soldier from Greensboro died Wednesday at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after suffering non-combat injures in Afghanistan March 3, the Department of Defense announced Thursday.

Spc. David Proctor, 26, sustained those injuries in Kandahar Province while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Details about Proctor's injuries were not immediately available.
He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.
