CONCORD, N.C. — Great Wolf Lodge in Concord is open and celebrating the holidays with its annual Snowland celebration through Jan. 3.
Of course, a trip to the indoor water park and resort is going to look a lot different than in past years, thanks to some COVID-related protocols. Social distancing is expected and enforced. Attractions have reduced capacity. Masks are required for all guests ages 5 and up unless eating or actively enjoying a water park attraction. And they've added a lot of new disinfection and sanitization.

Activities during Snowland include daily snow showers inside the lobby, seasonally themed crafts and festive stories and songs. Santa will be on hand for socially distanced visits. And there's a new craft kit to go program for families who want to get crafty in their own rooms. A new cocoa trolley also will move from floor to floor with lights, holiday decor and different hot chocolates for sale, including some adult versions. A portion of each sale is donated to Make-A-Wish.

Great Wolf Lodge is near Charlotte, which is about two hours from Raleigh.
