Posted — UpdatedPreschoolers are learning all about spending, sharing and saving money during special programs at Wake County Public Libraries this year thanks to a big grant from PNC.
The programs, which began in January and continue until August, offer lessons about the ins and outs of good fiscal management for both kids and their adults. The two-year $125,000 grant from PNC supports financial education for children in a program called $mart Choice$, Great Fun.
The library is using the money to buy materials, engage consultants and build book collections that support the initiative and concepts, according to a press release. As part of the program, participants are receiving a "For Me, for You, for Later" education kit developed by Sesame Workshop for PNC.
