Small ignition at home in Raleigh from gas leak, family is now displaced

A gas leak at a home in Raleigh left a family of five displaced. A worker was in the crawlspace of the home on 1345 Courtland Drive when he caused the gas leak, according to officials.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A gas leak damaged a home in Raleigh Saturday afternoon. The family of five living in the house is now displaced.

Someone was doing work in the crawlspace of the home on 1347 Courtland Drive when he caused the gas leak, according to officials.

The worker was injured and taken to UNC's burn center.

Officials described the leak as a "small ignition."

Neighbors in the area said that this house was one of the newer houses in the neighborhood.
