RALEIGH, N.C. — Clouds will clear early on Christmas Day and usher in a weekend of dry, pleasant weather.

"We should have a cooler, breezy and less humid day behind our cold front," said WRAL meteorologist Mike Maze. "High pressure brings some fine weather through Saturday."

Daytime highs will be right around 60 degrees, and temperatures overnight will stay well above the freezing mark.

Saturday is the warmest day of the next week, with temperatures topping 60 degrees and a light breeze from the southwest.

Sunday is another turning point, though. Rain builds back in from our south and west from Sunday into Monday, and the chance for light showers sticks around through mid-week with temperatures falling back into the 40s.
