Sixteen people lost their homes early Saturday in an apartment fire in northeast Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Sixteen people lost their homes early Saturday in an apartment fire in northeast Raleigh.

About 75 Raleigh Fire Department firefighters responded to a blaze at a two-story apartment buildng at 5051 Wallingford Drive shortly after 5 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators said they believe the fire started when something was left unattended on a stove.
