Six charged with 41 vehicle break-ins

Six men were charged with a string of vehicle break-ins in the Anderson Creek community between December and June, authorities said Thursday.

LILLINGTON, N.C. — Six men were charged with a string of vehicle break-ins in the Anderson Creek community between December and June, authorities said Thursday.

Forty-one vehicle break-ins were reported, and authorities filed 102 charges of breaking, entering and larceny from a motor vehicle against the six.

Jonathan Paul Vilela, 19, of Lillington, was charged with 34 counts, Jamie Ray Bell, 17, of Spring Lake, was charged with 18 counts, Donald Deandre Mays, 17, of Spring Lake, was charged with 17 counts, Marshall Barfield, 18, of Lillington, was charged with 14 counts, Andrew James Delaney, 17, of Lillington, was charged with 12 counts and Carl Wayne Fulghum, 19, of Spring Lake, was charged with seven counts.
