Silver Alert issued for Nashville woman

RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert Thursday for a missing Nashville woman.

Mary Jane Evans, 69, is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Evans is described as white, standing 5 feet, 2 inches and weighing 140 pounds. She has short red hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen at 539 Indian Trail in Nashville, authorities said and may be headed for Chicago in a blue 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer with North Carolina license plate number HD5-2644.

Anyone with information about Evans should call the Nashville Police Department at 252-459-4545.
