The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered man.

<b>SANFORD, N.C.</b> — UPDATE: The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has cancelled the Silver Alert for Douglas Richard Johnson. He was found safe in Clinton.

Douglas Richard Johnson was last seen at 65 Sparrow Circle in Sanford. He is 89, 5-foot-7 and 200 pounds with short gray hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

He is likely driving a 2003 gold GMC Sierra with a license plate RTS-7231.

Anyone with information about Johnson should call the Harnett County Sheriff's Department at (910) 893-9111.
