The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert Friday for John Brandon Scotton, 27, of Durham.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert Friday evening for a missing Durham man who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

John Brandon Scotton, 27, was last seen at El Rodeo on University Drive in Durham.

He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has a tattoo of his birthdate, Jan. 16, 1985, on his left shoulder.

Scotton may be heading to Inglewood, Calif., in a blue 2000 BMW CP with North Carolina license plate ZZM-7273, authorities said. The right front fender of the car needs painting.

Anyone with information about Scotton's location should call the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4434.
