Silver Alert issued for 70-year-old Greensboro man

Greensboro, N.C. — The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing 70-year-old man.
William Eugene Mebane is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment. He is described as a Black male who stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds. He is bald with brown eyes and may be walking with a cane.
He was last seen at 3009 Kentwood St. in Greensboro wearing a checkered jacket with a hole in the right shoulder.
