SANFORD, N.C. — A Siler City woman was found to be traveling with 28 pounds of marijuana Monday.

Yuridia Diaz Martinez, 26, of Lot #73 Irene Lane was charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a valid drivers license.

Lee County narcotics officers stopped Martinez on a traffic violation in Oak Hill and discovered the drugs in her car.

She was being held in the Lee County Jail under $50,000 secured bond. The drugs had a potential street value of $67,200.
