SILER CITY, N.C. — A man from a small town won a big prize last week after he bought a $5 lottery ticket from a gas station in Siler City.
Luis Arellano bought the ticket at the Rite Stop on East 11th Street. His winnings from the 20X The Cash scratch-off game got him $250,000.
Arellano claimed his prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $176,254.
