SILER CITY, N.C. — Deputies on Tuesday arrested a man accused of holding a woman against her will in Chatham County.

On Friday, March 3, deputies with the Chatham County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on U.S. Highway 64 West in Siler City, where a woman said she was held against her will, assaulted and sexually abused.

The woman knew the man, and her injuries were consistent with assault, deputies said.

Days later, on March 7, Wesley Roy Stacey, 43, who lived at the home, was arrested for crimes against nature, assault by strangulation, first-degree kidnapping and assault on a female.

Stacey was being held without bond and was scheduled to appear in court on March 27.
