Showers possible overnight
Temperatures will quickly climb into the low-70s Sunday morning, but fall through the day, dipping even to into the 50s by late afternoon, WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Temperatures pushed into the 80s Saturday producing a muggy afternoon, but things are expected to cool off a bit with showers on Sunday.
It is expected to stay humid overnight as rain moves into central North Carolina.
"A cold front moving into the state should be just on our doorstep by Sunday morning," WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss said.
Some rain ahead of the cold front was moving into central North Carolina late Saturday.
“We could hear a rumble of thunder tonight,” WRAL meteorologist Kim Deaner said.
Behind the front, a band of rain showers makes wet, chilly weather likely for much of the region by Sunday afternoon.

The chill will remain through Monday and Monday night, with a return to summer-like conditions by the end of the week.
