Shot driver found in Durham hotel parking lot
Police responding to a car wreck at a Durham hotel early Sunday found a man shot in the back.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — Police responding to a car wreck at a Durham hotel early Sunday found a man shot in the back.
Police said that a 911 caller reported a wreck in the parking lot of Crestwood Suites, 300 Meredith Drive, around 1 a.m. Officers found that the driver who caused the wreck had been shot.
The victim was in serious condition at the hospital but was expected to be OK, police said. His identity hasn't been released.
Police said the shooting remains under investigation.
