Shop till you drop at Girls on the Run's 4th Annual Girls Night In on March 7 at Nordstrom at the Streets at Southpoint.

The event benefits the program for girls ages 8 to 12. It combines training to participate in a noncompetitive 1 or 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts and community service projects. The goal is to encourage girls to believe that who they are is more important than what they look like. Girls on the Run of the Triangle is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

The event includes a private evening of shopping and fashion, including dessert, wine, music, complimentary makeovers and more. Molly Barker, Girls on the Run founder, will be the guest of honor.

Tickets can only be purchased online until March 3. They won't be sold at the door. Tickets are $30 per person for the event that starts at 7:30 p.m. Or you can attend the VIP dinner at 5:30 p.m. for $100.

And stay tuned to more about the Girls on the Run 5K, which is scheduled for April 17 in Durham.
