Wake County deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred overnight in Fuquay-Varina.



<b>FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C.</b> — Wake County deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred overnight in Fuquay-Varina.

Authorities responded to a Sheetz located at 1655 N. Main Street, where an employee said a victim, 26-year-old Calvin Lee Burch, walked in and asked them to call 911.

Police say Burch suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder and was treated and released from WakeMed.

Police believe the shooting occurred near a home across the street from the gas station on Johnson Pond Road.

No suspect information is available at this time.
