Lee County deputies identify, charge student who threatened to bomb high school
The student made multiple threats against the school during March and early April.
Posted — UpdatedDeputies identified a student for making a bomb threat Tuesday against Lee County High School.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, a student was responsible for the bomb threat Tuesday. The Sheriff's Office determined the threat was not credible.
Due to the students age, investigators are required to file juvenile petitions.
The sheriff's office said the student is facing six counts of communicating threats of mass violence on school property and one count of communicating threats related to the threat of the school resource officer.
