Evelyn Boswell is still missing.

The Wilkes County Sheriff's Office says the search at a pond related to the investigation into the child's disappearance was 'inconclusive,' reports NBC affiliate WCYB.

According to a press release, the Wilkes County Sheriff's Office joined emergency crews at a pond in the Shepherds Crossroads Community. Authorities used a remote operated vehicle device to search the pond, but say nothing related to the Boswell investigation was found.

The Wilkes County Sheriff's Office has reported their search and information to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office.

Sullivan County Sheriff Jeff Cassidy had confirmed in a news conference Wednesday that authorities would search a pond in Wilkes County, NC in connection with the case of missing 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell.

Wilkes County is where Evelyn's grandmother, Angela Boswell, was arrested for theft over $2,500 in connection with a stolen vehicle last week. William McCloud was also arrested.

Court papers reveal how police say Megan Boswell, the child's mother, lied about her missing 15-month-old, Evelyn.

Those papers say she initially told police the baby was with the father, Ethan Perry. Police said she stated she was supposed to meet him last Wednesday at a grocery store to exchange custody.

But Perry is on active duty with the military, stationed in Louisiana, and did not have Evelyn. Megan Boswell was arrested and charged with false reports Tuesday.

Charges have now been placed against the mother of 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell, who is the subject of a statewide AMBER Alert. During the course of the investigation, Megan ëMaggieí Boswell (DOB: 3/21/01) provided detectives and agents with a number of conflicting statements. Further investigation revealed that some of the information provided by Megan Boswell was false.

Megan Boswell appeared on video from jail for arraignment Wednesday morning in Bristol Sessions Court. Her preliminary hearing was set for March 2.

Her mother, Angela Boswell, is also jailed on car theft charges related to the investigation.

The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office said Megan she was taken into custody Tuesday evening, where she's being held on a $25,000 bond.

Evelyn Boswell was reported missing to the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office by the Tennessee Department of Children's Services on February 18. Family members said they hadn't seen Evelyn in around two months.

Boswell spoke with News 5 earlier in the day on Tuesday, saying she trusted her mother, Angela Boswell, to watch Evelyn.

She claims she went to the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday for a lie detector test, but she says she was turned away because she is pregnant.

Sullivan County Sheriff Jeff Cassidy previously said some of the statements Megan made in the case of her missing daughter were not accurate. Authorities did not specifically say what the charge of false reports is about or referring to.

People and businesses in the community are offering reward money for Evelyn's safe return.

Anyone with information on the location of Evelyn Boswell is asked to contact the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation or the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office.
