Sheriff: Driver ditches vehicle, runs away after Durham County chase
A driver ditched a overnight in Durham and ran away after a police chase through Durham County, officials said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A driver ditched a vehicle after an overnight police chase in Durham County and ran away from the scene, officials said.
The Durham County Sheriff's Office said a deputy tried to pull over a vehicle for using fake tags, but the driver didn't stop. The driver eventually abandoned the vehicle and ran away.
Deputies used a K-9 officer to try to track the driver, but the driver was not found.
Authorities did not say where in the county the chase began or ended.
