— A man's body was recovered from Harris Lake on Tuesday morning.

Fuquay-Varina police report that Timothy Crockett Mullins, who was reported missing on Monday, was found dead. He was 47 years old.

The circumstances surrounding the recovery are not known, but officials said there is no sign of foul play at this time or a threat to the community. Officials could not elaborate on whether the body was found in the water or the bank of the lake.

Mullins’ Jeep was found parked near a bridge just off New Hill Holleman Road.

"We express our condolences to the Mullins’ family, his friends, co-workers and those community members that were invested in this case. It is times such as this that we should all come together and provide love and support, particularly for the family and friends," Fuquay-Varina police shared on Facebook.
