Convenience store Sheetz and Asheville-based Wicked Weed Brewing Company have partnered to create a limited-edition craft beer for the holiday season.

Project Happy Hole-idayz beer will be available starting at 4 p.m. on Friday.

The beer is a golden pale ale and features notes of fresh baked donuts, vanilla frosting, graham crackers, honey and malted barley.

The donuts used in the beer are Shweetz Glazed Vanilla donut holes.

"This year has been a tough one for us all and we're hopeful this beer can lift the spirits of customers as we embark on the holiday season and look toward next year," said Ryan Sheetz, the vice president of marketing and brand for Sheetz.

Project Happy Hole-idayz beer will be sold in North Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
