Raleigh, N.C. — EDITOR'S NOTE: Eric Nevelle Riddick pleaded guilty to one count of violating the North Carolina Sex Offender Registry Act in December 2018. All other charges against him were dismissed.
A registered sex offender was arrested last week after visiting Athens Drive High School in Raleigh.
Court documents show Eric Nevelle Riddick, 33, of 3120 New Bern Ave., entered the high school and public library on June 7, even though he is not permitted on school grounds.
Riddick also failed to notify authorities when he changed addresses, which is required for sex offenders under state law, according to court documents.
Riddick was charged with being a sex offender on a property with a child on the premises and two counts of failure to report a new address as a sex offender.
