Service held in honor of fallen Youngsville firefighter
A Youngsville Assistant Fire Chief died Wednesday at his home.

YOUNGSVILLE, N.C. — A Youngsville Assistant Fire Chief died Wednesday at his home.
Jeffrey Lee “Jeff” Fields, 51, of Youngsville was a veteran of the United States Marines and a dedicated volunteer fireman with the Youngsville Fire Department for 30 years.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 24 years, two children, as well as sisters, nieces and nephews.
A service was held Saturday afternoon at the Youngsville Fire Department followed by a celebration of life at the Youngsville Baptist Church.
