The Town of Cary issued a crime alert Monday, warning drivers of thefts from vehicles in the area of High House Road and Davis Drive.

CARY, N.C. — The Town of Cary issued a crime alert Monday, warning drivers of thefts from vehicles in the area of High House Road and Davis Drive.

Five car owners have reported items stolen from unlocked cars in the past week.

Police described the suspect as a white man between 15 and 18 years old with blond hair, standing about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds.

Witnesses told police the suspect was carrying a book bag and may drive a red Geo Metro.

Police reminded drivers to lock cars when parked and to remove valuables from view.
