Senior living community serves drive-thru breakfast to Raleigh first responders
The Cardinal at North Hills, a senior living community, is serving breakfast to first responders on Thursday at 6:30 a.m. as a way to say thank you for serving the public during the coronavirus pandemic.

Flying Biscuit Cafe in Cameron Village provided the breakfast to firefighters, police and emergency medical service workers.
The breakfast was drive-thru style to limit contact and prevent the spread of coronavirus.
District Chief of Wake County Emergency Medical Services Michael Williams says that it's always been challenging being a first responder, but Wake County has "risen to that challenge."
"Our people, anyone in EMS, fire, protect the public and protect ourselves so we can continue to serve," he said.
Both the management at The Cardinal and at the Flying Biscuit recognize the pandemic has put a strain on first responders. The two organizations wanted to do what they could to say thank you.
