MANATEE COUNTY, FLA. — The front cab of a tractor-trailer hung off the side of a Manatee County, Florida bridge for over an hour during rush hour traffic Friday morning.

The driver made it safely out of the truck after the front of the vehicle dangled over the edge of the high-rise bridge for at least an hour.

Around 7 a.m., deputies responded to a report of the truck dangling off the northbound side of the J.D. Young Bridge on Interstate 75 south of Tampa. A Florida Department of Transportation traffic camera shows the truck hanging off the side of the bridge, over the Manatee River, with traffic behind it.

Crews pulled the truck back on the bridge around 8:40 a.m. It was not immediately clear why the driver lost control of the vehicle and ended up over the edge of the bridge.
