Security guard helps woman give birth on Mother's Day inside elevator

When it finally came, they realized the baby's head was crowning. As soon as the the doors closed, Eli Davila realized they were out of time, and delivered the baby.

A Texas woman made it to the hospital just in time to give birth to her baby on Mother's day, but she didn't make it to the delivery room.

Once he realized what was happening, a security guard stepped in to help. The security guard saw the woman come in and immediately started trying to get an elevator.

Finally, they realized the baby's head was crowning. As soon as the the doors closed, Eli Davila realized they were out of time, and delivered the baby.

Davila, the Medical City Dallas security Guard, admitted he had "no medical training whatsoever."

"It was just one of these things where you watch all this tv," he said. "And you have to put it into practice right now."

Davila said once they heard the baby girl crying, he was able to breath a sigh of relief.

The baby and mom are doing just fine.
