Second winning $2 million Powerball prize sold in NC this week

A winning ticket from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing was sold at an eatery near Charlotte, according to lottery officials.

The ticket, worth $2 million, is the second Powerball ticket of its value to be sold at a North Carolina store this week.

Wednesday's winner has not yet come forward, but the ticket was sold at the 3 Point Market and Grill in Kings Mountain, located in the Charlotte metropolitan area near Cleveland and Gaston counties.

Margo Konopacke, from South Carolina, won the other $2 million Powerball prize. She bought her ticket on Saturday while she was getting groceries at the Publix on Greenville Highway in Hendersonville.

The second winner has 180 days to claim the prize.

The next Powerball drawing is Saturday. The current jackpot is $224 million, worth $136.4 million cash.
