RALEIGH, N.C. — A second man has been charged in connection with a December shooting inside Crabtree Valley Mall.

Angelo Nasir Bailey Jr., 21, of Raleigh, was charged with felony conspiracy to commit assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, felony inciting to riot and simple affray.

The shooting occurred Dec. 17 shortly before 9 p.m. on the mall's lower level outside the LEGO store, police said.

Two people who were among a large group of people began arguing on an escalator, and the fight turned into a physical altercation when they got to the lower level near the Christmas tree. One of the two then pulled out a gun and fired, and the second person returned fire, police said.

No bystanders were injured during the shooting, police said, but investigators found a trail of blood at the scene, leading them to believe that one of the shooters was hit.

Brandon Shamaar Bumpass, 21, was arrested on Dec. 29 on the same charges that Bailey faces.
The Raleigh Police Department released new surveillance photos Monday possibly showing the men who fired gunshots inside Crabtree Valley Mall.

Police are still searching for at least one other man in the shooting, and they have released images from mall security cameras in an effort to get the public's assistance.

Anyone who recognizes the men in the photos is asked to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357.
