LEE COUNTY, N.C. — The Lee County Sheriff's Office on Saturday said a second man has been arrested in connection with a home break-in last weekend.

Authorities said Dewaun Raymel McEachin, 22, of 531 Cox Maddox Rd, was taken into custody sometime Saturday. He was being held at the Lee County Jail in lieu of a $15,000 bond, according to investigators. McEachin was charged with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods, authorities said in a written statement.

Officials did not immediately disclose what led to McEachin's arrest.

One other suspect, identified as Diandre Nyshawn McLean, 24, of 105 Ruth Ann Lane, has been arrested in the case after investigators linked him to a dark SUV used in the robbery. It was not immediately clear if McLean was still in custody or if he had bonded out of jail.

Two other people are believed to have been involved in the crime, which took place on May 26 at a home located in the 1800 block of Carthage Street in Sanford.

Surveillance video shows a man with a gun inside the kitchen of a Lee County home.

Homeowner Alex Hall Leggette, who was not home at the time, got a notification that his alarm had been tripped and was able to watch men with guns move through his home via a video link to his mobile phone. He told the sheriff's office later that the men took two pistols, a safe containing cash and three watches from the house.

The sheriff's office circulated four clips from Leggette's home surveillance system in hopes that someone in the community can identify the apparent burglars.

In two of the clips, a thin man in a T-shirt, baseball cap and sneakers carries what appears to be a weapon as he stalks around the kitchen and looks out a window.

In another clip, the same man and a second person, wearing a dark-colored hoodie, walk through a room.

In the final clip, a dark SUV pulls down a tree-lined driveway as at least two people pile inside.

Anyone with information about the people in the video is asked to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 919-718-4577 or 919-775-5531.
