LILLINGTON, N.C. — Harnett County authorities on Wednesday arrested a woman in connection with a recent home invasion in Lillington.

Katherine Danielle Stroud, 16, of Sanford, was charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. She was being held in the Harnett County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond.

Maurice Devonte Purcell, 18, of Sanford, was arrested last week on the same charges.

Investigators said Purcell and Stroud were among four people who entered a home at 232 Tacia Drive on Dec. 17 while Derrick Womack and his family were home.

Womack said he saw two people on his porch and another two in his yard. He was shot in the hand, and he said he shot two of the robbers before all four fled.

More arrests are pending in the case, authorities said.
