Second suspect arrested in Fayetteville homicide

Jason Lee Smith was shot and killed at his home at 6111 Regis Court and another man, Emanual Gantlin, 26, was assaulted, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police arrested a second man Saturday for a Dec. 30 homicide at 6111 Regis Court.

Jason Lee Smith was shot and killed and another man, Emanual Gantlin, 26, was assaulted, police said.

Police arrested Justen King, 18, of 3104 Ron St., and charged him with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, attempt to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Christopher Andrew Alexander was already in custody at the Cumberland County Detention Center on the same charges.
