Second man arrested in Cary double shooting

Cary police on Monday charged a second Raleigh man in connection with a shooting that injured two people at the Mobile Estates Trailer Park on Southeast Maynard Road early Saturday.

CARY, N.C. — Cary police on Monday charged a second Raleigh man in connection with a shooting that injured two people at the Mobile Estates Trailer Park on Southeast Maynard Road early Saturday.

Noe Bernal Lagunas, 20, was charged Monday with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling.

Daniel Lawrence Olvera, 20, was arrested on Saturday. He faces three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

A 27-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were shot at the intersection of Waco and Stone streets shortly before 3 a.m., police said.

The victims were treated at WakeMed in Raleigh. A 19-year-old man was also treated at the scene.

Police did not release the identities or conditions of the two victims. They did say the shooting did not appear to be random and that more arrests could follow.
